The Donnell Consulting Group (DCG) operates from the greater Hartford, CT and Chicago, IL areas and provides transnational business development services for clients in a variety of industries.  DCG is closely affiliated with its sister company the Jackson Consulting Group (JCG) which is based in Chicago provides similar services to selected clients. DCG and JCG use the term “business development” to describe both the traditional ongoing services required by clients to fund and capitalize business opportunities and increase their revenues and expand their customer bases, DCG and JCG can also provide the creative services required for unique strategic solutions such as joint ventures, strategic sell-side opportunities on an international basis, special purpose vehicles (SPVs) business/asset acquisitions or disposals, business alliances or other one-off transactions. DCG and/or JCG are also able and willing to be hands on involved in “starting up” or expanding client operations in a number of key US and European locations.

 

                         Services

Basically our services fall into three broad categories as follow:

- Providing fund raising services for entities that are willing to provide credible asset and/or revenue flow backed security to potential investors.

- Sourcing investors for many international investment opportunities from across the world and educating them on the structures, upsides and risks involved. This includes accommodating strategic sell-side opportunities on an international basis.

-  Providing non-secured fund raising services for a wide variety of significant unique investment opportunities as validated on a case by case basis. Besides our focus on providing funding and revenue expansion opportunities for clients that want to increase their base of operations and market reach, DCG and JCG offers a broad range of business development services including:

- establishing a “remote office” on behalf of the client,
- providing consulting and/or implementation services and
- providing a temporary or transitional management team.

Each of our services enables DCG and JCG clients to increase their revenues and/or profitability without excess costs of internal management, finance, sales or other special human resources that may be difficult to source over the immediate or interim term. It also allows for numerous ways of enabling clients
to fund and grow the size of their businesses in numerous ways and/or through sell-side transactions. 

DCG and JCG maintains a network of “Affiliated Partners” to tailor the extended resources required for each assignment in a cost effective manner for the client. DCG and JCG Affiliated Partners include various best-of-breed service and product providers that supplement the DCG and JCG capability
portfolio to meet the specific needs of clients.

Our Founder

John S. Donnell
Founder and Senior Managing Director

 

Manager
An established international financial expert with significant investment banking leadership experience at senior management levels in various large international banks and investment banks. He has also held numerous senior management positions with small and midrange companies and technology-based start-up companies.

As a senior executive in the international capital markets for about 19 years, John spent the majority of his career leading and driving business and revenue growth at large international banks including Citicorp in New York for 12 years and Barclays Bank in London for 5 years. His banking experience includes C-level responsibility as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Citicorp’s original investment banking subsidiary (CSMI), as a Managing Director with Barclays UK investment bank (BZW), as a Managing Director with HSBC, as the Treasurer of various subsidiaries of Citicorp and Barclays Bank, and as the head of several significant trading and arbitrage groups in New York and London.

John also has about 20 years of experience in developing early stage companies in the telecommunications, e-commerce and multinational business development sectors and as an international business consultant. He's currently the Senior Managing Director of the Donnell Consulting Group (DCG) which provides US companies with consulting services across a wide range of business sectors including finance, business development and specialized business structures.

John recently founded Zenith Properties and Lease services (ZPL) and Zenith Financial Services (ZFS) to provide real estate redevelopment investment opportunities to various parties based on his previous numerous experiences of delivering excellent financial results, building teams and systems and managing risk as a proven business leader on the global stage.

He was also the Managing Director of TBD Partners Ltd which was based in the UK and provided international business consulting services. In addition, he has about 4 years of leading audit firm experience across multiple industries and companies.

His international business experiences include having lived and worked in London for 10 years and in Paris for 8 years and he traveled extensively for business both before and after living abroad. He began his career with Arthur Andersen in Manhattan following graduation from the University of Connecticut with a BS in Accounting and subsequently achieved an MBA in Finance from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
